50 Shapes

This work is part of an ongoing investigation into art and biosemiotics. A response and interpretation of the world around me (umwelt). I use creative thinking to guide my hands with tools and materials.

50 Shapes represents an organism's possible responses to environmental pressures resulting in a change of shape and function, a non-reductionist way of thinking about evolution.

50 Shapes was the winner of the inaugural Byron Arts Magazine (BAM)  Art prize 2018.
